Shoulder and Upper Limb Clinic

The Shoulder and Upper Limb Clinic is a specialized clinic for the management and prevention of pain, bone and joint disorders around the shoulder girdle, elbow and forearm, including: instability, rotator cuff disorders, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, muscle and tendon injuries and joint replacements.

Furthermore the clinic provides the services of highly specialized surgeons for the evaluation and treatment of persistent shoulder and elbow problems, such as:

  • Complications after injury or surgical treatment: pain, infections, mal-union or non-unions
  • Revision of shoulder and elbow joint replacements
  • Recurrent instability and complications after surgical treatment of shoulder and elbow instability

What is Shoulder Impingement?

ImpingementThe most common reason for shoulder pain is inflammation in the shoulder tendons and bursa in the subacromial space (picture) termed bursitis or tendinitis. Sometimes individual’s with shoulder impingement may experience severe pain at rest, during sleeping and with activities.
